The Fort Smith Trolley Museum, in cooperation with the Arkansas & Missouri Railroad is pleased to announce “Trains, Trains, and More Trains, Come and have Dinner with us” on Saturday August 27, 2022. Enjoy a scenic 70 mile round trip through the Boston Mountains that departs from Van Buren, Arkansas and will go to Winslow, Arkansas and back. Boarding will begin at 4:45PM at the Van Buren depot located at 813 Main Street in Van Buren, Arkansas. Departure time will be 5:00 PM. We will be selling tickets for the Silver Feather Dome car, dining cars, or coach car.
Meals for the dining cars and Dome car will come with a four-course meal consisting of a choice of roast beef with roasted potatoes and green beans, or a grilled chicken breast on a bed of wild rice and green beans. Meals for the coach car will include a box dinner of either a beef or chicken sandwich with all the trimmings.
Tickets for the Silver Feather dome car will be $150.00 per person. Seating will be restricted to twenty four (24) passengers on the Dome car. The meal will be served in the lower portion of the car, and these passengers will be able to enjoy the scenery on the return trip from Winslow in the dome section of the car. Tickets for the dining cars are $130 per person. Coach tickets are $80 per person.
A silent auction will be held on the trip back from Winslow, so feel free to browse and make a bid! In addition, the Community School of the Arts will provide musical entertainment on the dinner train. Two groups of performers will sing for the passengers as they enjoy their dinner on the way to Winslow and back to Van Buren. The Community School of the Arts specialize in a curriculum of activities for children and young people that will explore their artistic talents and develop their social skills in positive and exciting ways.
To purchase tickets, please select your car and how many roast beef or grilled chicked meals you would like. This will send your purchase over to PayPal for secure processing. Tickets may be paid for via debit or credit card in addition to using a PayPal account if you desire.
